There are stories that only you can tell, and a voice that is uniquely your own. This workshop will help emerging writers to discover as well as refine the sources of your material, with a particular emphasis on "emotional autobiography." We will focus on the art of locating core subjects within your personal experience, then explore various tools for expanding the work in order to reach the minds and hearts of readers.

Our morning sessions will combine supportive discussion of submitted pieces (maximum of 10 pages per person) along with writing prompts and exercises. Rather than "critiquing" the work, we will talk about what is already succeeding and why. All genres are welcome, including short or long fiction, narrative non-fiction, and poetry.
