Do you remember your first kiss? Do you remember how you felt when hair started growing everywhere? Young adult writing is all about firsts: first love, first heartache, first time you borrowed your parent's car without asking.

In this session I will discuss some of themes and trends in YA Lit, we'll write and share some painfully embarrassing scenes, and I'll talk about my experiences with young audiences. This workshop is open to writers and poets of all levels who are interested in writing for young adults.
