| The Craft of Fiction: A Workshop for Emerging Writers
Instructor: Ellen Sussman We'll explore three major elements of fiction writing — plot, character development, and point of view — in order to strengthen the foundation of our stories. Each day in class we'll read student work, tackle in-class exercises and discuss the components of great fiction. This class will work for those who are relatively new to fiction as well as those with experience. Students are welcome to submit a story for critique in advance of the workshop (max. 2500 words). This is not mandatory — we'll also create new work during our time together. |
