This class is designed for story writers seeking to find/express their own voices. The workshop will be inter-active, involving manuscript critique, craft tutorials and discussion of published work. Everyone is encouraged to read Blackbird House by Alice Hoffman before the workshop so we can address a variety of narrative strategies. We'll discuss participant work with regard to evocative setting, nuanced characterization, engaging plot, linguistic rhythm and other craft concerns. Questions and ideas for other discussion topics are welcome
