Looking at fiction or creative nonfiction stories or chapters written by the workshop members, we will discuss and assess the story, structure, characters, dialogue, setting, pace, and voice of each with a focus on strategies for revision. Hand-outs will help to show how writers go about reshaping drafts towards publication.

Limit to 12 students.

Level: Intermediate to Advanced.

Manuscripts due in advance. Work should come in as a .doc Word document (not docx). Ten pages maximum, each page numbered, double-spaced, set in 12 pt. Times New Roman with 1 inch margins. For samples that are part of a larger project, also include a no more than one page synopsis of your manuscript in the same format. Your name and e-mail address should appear on the first page.
