These free workshops are open to people of all ages connected with the Cancer Resource Center, at any stage of their journey. Attend any or all workshops, by arrangement with facilitator Karen Lewis, klewis@mcn.org.

This is an Arts for Our Future collaboration, co-sponsored by the Community Foundation of Mendocino County, the Mendocino Coast Writers Conference and the Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County. This project will lead to a community anthology of writing to be published in the Fall of 2010.

Karen is a widely published poet, essayist and fiction writer. She's taught with California Poets in the Schools for the past 16 years, awakening imagination in the classroom. Her focus is on healing, nature, family ties, and translation of ordinary moments into art. She holds a BA from Stanford and an MFA from Antioch Los Angeles.
