![]() What is a Master Class? |
| New this year, by popular demand, we will offer a MASTER CLASS in REVISION. A master class provides talented writers with the opportunity to work with an expert and other dedicated writers in a small class setting. Admission to the 12 open spots is competitive. The workshop leader will expect those applying to have done a substantial amount of work on a writing project and have experience in the workshop process. Prospective students must register as participants of the conference. In addition to the conference fee, those interested in competing for a slot in the Master Class must send a 10-page sample of their work (Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double-spaced, 1" margins), plus a separate check for $100 to cover the additional fee for this class. The fee will be returned if the writer is not accepted into the class. Master Classes often get more applicants than can be accepted, and so talented and dedicated students have to be turned away. If you are not accepted in a Master Class, you are welcome to apply another time, and you may well be accepted then. MCWC has other great workshop leaders, so please indicate a second choice on your registration form. |
