Stefanie Freele
Stefanie Freele, the 2010-2011 Healdsburg Literary Laureate, is the author of the short story collection "Feeding Strays" published by Lost Horse Press and a chapbook titled Motel released by Bannock Street Books. Recent and forthcoming work can be found in many wonderful literary magazines such as: Glimmer Train, American Literary Review, Night Train, Literary Mama, Vestal Review, The Pedestal Magazine, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Frigg, Dogplotz, and Hobart. She has an MFA from the Northwest Institute of Literary Arts: Whidbey Writers Workshop and currently teaches creative writing classes at the Healdsburg Plaza Art Center. Stefanie is an editor with SmokeLong Quarterly and the Fiction Editor for the Los Angeles Review. |

Brianna Smith Brianna Smith is an independent editor living in San Francisco. She has worked for Chronicle Books, where she acquired and edited literary fiction, humor, pop culture, and narrative non-fiction titles, including Kamala Harris's Smart on Crime, The Empanada Brotherhood by John Nichols, and the Worst-Case Scenario series. Before that, she worked for Times Books in New York, where she edited current events, policy, and history titles, which included the National Book Award-nominated 102 Minutes by Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn, Overthrow by Stephen Kinzer, and Bob Herbert's collected columns, Promises Betrayed. Brianna offers manuscript review, developmental editing, and proposal consultation for both fiction and non-fiction. She is particularly interested in short stories, historical fiction, and humor titles. |
