Lynne Barrett is the author of two story collections, The Secret Names of Women and The Land of Go, and co-editor of the anthology Birth: A Literary Companion. Recent stories appear in One Year to a Writing Life, Saw Palm, Miami Noir, A Hell of a Woman, and A Dixie Christmas and are forthcoming in 2010 in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and the Tyrus Books anthology Delta Blues. Her poem "How to Make a Crazy Quilt, 1906-1917" will be in the Southern Women's Review's January 2010 issue. She wrote the libretto for the children's opera Cricketina. A recipient of the Edgar Award for best mystery story and an N.E.A. fellowship, she teaches in the MFA program at Florida International University and editor of The Florida Book Review (http://www.floridabookreview.com).
